2016 Speaking of HOPE Featured Speaker

Lee Woodruff

Author, Journalist & Philanthropist

Lee Woodruff knows that life can change in an instant. One minute, you're a successful freelance writer and business woman, mother of four children, and wife of Bob Woodruff, the newly appointed co-anchor of ABC's World News Tonight. The next minute, your life turns upside down when your husband is severly wounded in a roadside bomb attack in Iraq.

Gathering strength from their own incredible ordeal, Lee and her husband made the decision to help others, founding the Bob Woodruff Family Fund for Traumatic Brain Injury.

Now a best-selling author, Lee uses her down-to-earth, compassionate style to share her personal story with audiences, providing them with the wisdom and inspiration she learned along her remarkable, and often difficult journey.

Lee conveys a message of love, healing and an understanding that we're all fighting our own battle. She is an inspiration to anyone trying to navigate their own path. Engaging, heartfelt and candid, Lee's presentations remind audiences of all ages that nothing is stronger than love and hope.

Here's what people had to say about last year's event!

"What a wonderful night out! I attended with several friends of mine and it exceeded our expectations. We only had great things to say about the event and everyone loved the speaker, Kelly Corrigan!!"

"The evening was all about connecting with friends in a casual and fun setting while being inspired by the speaker. It was so exciting to get close to a well-known author in an intimate setting while taking something personally away from the evening. The event was a neat mix of a fun night out, being inspired while also giving back to CSM."

"I was inspired by Speaking of HOPE. Kelly Corrigan was inspiring and humorous! Everyone who attended seemed engaged in the discussion. It was an event I will never forget."

"What I really liked about the event was that it was a great opportunity to get together and reconnect with friends and also support a cause that has touched every one of us in some way. Kelly was such a great speaker and we all left the event feeling inspired. I' really looking forward to this year's event!"

Speaking of HOPE is a wonderful gathering full of laughter, teachable moments and memories that won't soon be forgotten. Even better is that you are helping an amazing cause all at the same time. I can't wait to share in this event with friends and family again."
