The Legacy Society is a group of thoughtful donors who have included Columbia St. Mary’s Foundation in their wills or other estate plans.

This commitment is deeply rooted in our past, reflecting the compassionate driving force that inspired the Daughters of Charity to establish St. Mary’s Hospital in 1849 and community leaders to found Columbia Hospital in 1909.

Ways to Give
A planned gift is a charitable gift that you can create now which will provide you with immediate benefits while creating your legacy for the future. The Legacy Society recognizes donors of all planned gifts - each providing unique tax and income benefits - including:

One easy way to support Columbia St. Mary’s is through your will. To do so, contact us for more information or simply include our official bequest language in your will:
“I, (name), of (city, state, zip), give, devise and bequeath to Columbia St. Mary’s Foundation (written amount or percentage of the state or description of property) for the greatest needs of the hospital.” |
Gift Annuity
The concept of a gift annuity is simple. Make a gift of cash or stock to Columbia St. Mary’s Foundation, the assets are invested and you receive fixed annual payments for life.
Upon your passing, the funds are available for the greatest needs of the hospital or to the designated service area of your choice.
Charitable Remainder Trust
Similar to a gift annuity, a charitable remainder trust also provides income to the donor with more flexible payment options.
Becoming a member of the Legacy Society is easy. Just inform us that you have named Columbia St. Mary’s Foundation in your will, trust or other estate plans.
