After years of evaluation, it was clear that consolidating our two East Side campuses was the responsible choice. We will eliminate duplicate services, provide
the highest quality health care in one place and work tirelessly to keep costs low. Pictured you see the structure of our three Specialty Institutes along North Avenue;
Along Lake Drive you see the main hospital entrance, Grant Atrium, patient rooms and the connector bridge to the current West Facility.

Facing North Avenue, each of our Specialty Institutes will offer our patients one-stop care by consolidating all of their needs into one streamlined service
area. Shown are the shelled-out spaces for the (left to right) Heart and Vascular, Orthopaedic and Neurologic and Testing and Treatment Institutes.

As you enter each room, you immediately find the caregiver zone – a place for supplies, infection prevention and the patient record.
Moving further into the room, the patient zone is designed for easy access to machines and equipment, as well as optimal views of the windows, television and
visitors. Finally, the family zone accommodates seating, storage and enough room to learn from caregivers about caring for the patient at home.

With patient, family and caregiver emotional well-being in mind, the building was designed to offer a calming view of Lake Michigan in more than 80 percent of
patient rooms and respite areas.
